Ingredients

  • 3kg apples, peeled and chopped

  • 600g plain flour

  • 400g butter

  • 300g brown sugar

  • 3 tsp cinnamon

  • 200g oats

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 180°C (fan).

Step 2

Place apples in a deep tray and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Step 3

In a bowl, rub butter into flour until crumbly.

Step 4

Stir in sugar and oats, then spread over apples.

Step 5

Bake for 30 mins until golden and crisp.

Step 6

Serve with custard or cream
