Ingredients

  • 1.2kg self-raising flour

  • 400g butter, cubed

  • 500g mature cheddar, grated

  • 700ml whole milk

  • 3 tsp baking powder

  • 2 tsp salt

  • 2 tsp mustard powder

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200°C (fan).

Step 2

Rub butter into the flour until crumbly.

Step 3

Add cheese, salt, baking powder, and mustard powder.

Step 4

Gradually add milk, mixing until dough forms.

Step 5

Roll out, cut into circles, and place on a baking tray.

Step 6

Bake for 18-20 mins until golden.
